2009 Hyundai Elantra Touring Overview
Not to be left behind in the fuel efficient, hatchback craze, the all-new 2009 Hyundai Elantra Touring brings tight handling and plenty of interior space for those weekend getaways through winding terrain.

The Touring is available in one trim that has most of the standard features found in the Elantra SE sedan. The Elantra Touring is powered by a 2.0-liter, 141-horsepower inline four-cylinder engine which is mated to a standard five-speed manual or an optional four-speed automatic transmission. The Touring boasts sport-tuned suspension and steering for better handling. When it comes to fuel economy, the Touring receives 23 mpg in the city and 30-31 mpg on the highway and competes with other hatchbacks such as the Dodge Caliber, Toyota Matrix, Mazda3 hatchback and Nissan Versa.

The Elantra Touring seats five and features 101.2 cubic feet of passenger room. Get up to 24.3 cubic feet of storage space with the rear 60/40 split fold-down seats up. Power windows, locks, and heated mirrors are convenient touches that make life easier. Remote keyless entry includes alarm, panic button, and trunk opener. The tilt and telescoping wheel creates the perfect driving position, while integrated fog lamps enhance nighttime visibility. Enjoy the crystal clear sound from the AM/FM/XM Radio /CD/MP3 audio system with auxiliary input jack, USB input and six speakers.

Standard Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control and Brake Assist enhance directional stability and braking power while minimizing wheelspin. Standard dual front airbags, front seat-mounted side impact airbags, and side curtain airbags protect front and rear seat passengers. 4-wheel disc anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake-force distribution help to maintain control in slippery conditions and prevent wheel lockup. Adjustable head restraints are standard on all seats, helping to prevent whiplash in the event of a collision. A standard tire pressure monitor system alerts the driver to any significant drops in pressure.

Get up, get out and enjoy driving again with the all-new, fuel efficient 2009 Hyundai Elantra Touring.
