Utility
The Hyundai Accent and the average sedan can accommodate the same number of passengers.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the average sedan packs quite a punch and will knock the Hyundai Accent down a few rungs. On the flip side, remember that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Dimensions
The typical sedan is tremendously more bulky than the Hyundai Accent. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the typical sedan than the Hyundai Accent because of its bigger tank. The Hyundai Accent fits in smaller parking spaces than the typical sedan. The average sedan's longer wheelbase will likely result in a smoother, more stable ride; on the flip side, the Hyundai Accent may give a nimbler feel in daily traffic.

Convenience
You'll likely take the Hyundai Accent for a fill-up almost as often as the typical sedan.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the Hyundai Accent to the dealership as the typical sedan. The typical sedan uses a lot of gasoline compared to the Hyundai Accent. Producing a precise fuel economy evaluation is so tricky that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though the Hyundai Accent is the winner with respect to fuel economy. In terms of MSRP, the typical sedan costs tremendously more than the Hyundai Accent. The typical sedan will cost you a bundle in gas every year compared to the Hyundai Accent. The Accent will save you a lots_of_money at the pump every year compared to the typical sedan.

Handling
With its tighter turning radius, the Hyundai Accent is definitely sprier than the average sedan, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the other hand, note that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The typical sedan's engine is tremendously more massive than the Accent's. Bear in mind that more sizeable engines may use more gasoline than smaller ones. The Accent could learn a lesson or two from the average sedan when it comes to pickup. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the typical sedan is tremendously more powerful than the Hyundai Accent.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Accent offers a bit more head room than the typical sedan, there really isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the average sedan provides a bit more head- and leg-room than the Accent, there frankly isn't much of a difference.

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the typical sedan isn't quite as generous as the Hyundai Accent's.
