HUMMER H3T vs. Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Review

Utility
The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD's more massive trunk will accommodate more big things than the HUMMER H3T. The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD will quite certainly prove more convenient than the HUMMER for those of you with frequent child-cargo. The Chevrolet is a better choice than the HUMMER H3T in terms of hauling capacity, especially if you frequently need to carry a lot of loot or sizeable dogs. The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD outpulls the HUMMER by a big margin.

Performance
With that kind of horsepower, both the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and the HUMMER H3T are true speedsters.

Dimensions
The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD is substantially more bulky than the HUMMER H3T. The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD's tank is roughly the same size as the HUMMER H3T's, though the HUMMER H3T's is slightly bigger. The HUMMER and the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The HUMMER H3T is significantly cheaper to get to the dealership than the Chevrolet. The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD isn't much less pricey than the HUMMER H3T as far as MSRP.

Handling
With their similar turning radii, the HUMMER H3T and the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD most definitely handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The HUMMER H3T's engine is tremendously smaller than the Chevrolet's. Bear in mind that a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder; however, smaller engines are often cheaper to fix. The Chevrolet packs quite a punch compared to the HUMMER H3T as far as torque, which is roughly equivalent to acceleration. The H3T could learn a lesson or two from the Chevrolet when it comes to torque.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD offers a bit more head room than the H3T, there frankly isn't much of a difference. The HUMMER H3T is not particularly roomier for your passengers than the Silverado 2500HD.

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD isn't quite as generous as the H3T's.
