HUMMER H3T vs. Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Review

Handling
With its tighter turning radius, the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is most certainly nimbler than the HUMMER H3T, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the other hand, note that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has a bigger engine than the HUMMER H3T. Keep in mind that smaller engines typically get better gas mileage, but smaller engines can be stressed more. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is substantially more powerful than the HUMMER H3T. The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 packs quite a punch compared to the HUMMER when it comes to torque, which is the force that lets you accelerate quickly.

Utility
The Silverado 1500's more massive trunk will accommodate more big things than the HUMMER H3T. Drivers with frequent child-duty might favor the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 over the HUMMER H3T. The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is a better choice than the HUMMER H3T when it comes to transporting cargo, especially if you often need to carry a lot of equipment or massive animals. The HUMMER H3T outpulls the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 by a large margin.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 offers a bit more head room than the H3T, there really isn't much of a difference. The HUMMER H3T is not particularly roomier for your passengers than the Chevrolet Silverado 1500.

Dimensions
The Chevrolet Silverado 1500's tank is almost the same size as the HUMMER H3T's, though the HUMMER H3T's is somewhat bigger. The Chevrolet and the HUMMER H3T compete for the same parking spaces. The Chevrolet's shorter wheelbase will likely give a sprier feel in daily traffic. On the other hand, the H3T is likely to have a smoother, more stable ride.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The HUMMER H3T is substantially cheaper to get to the dealership than the Silverado 1500. As far as MSRP, the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 costs considerably less than the HUMMER H3T.

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 isn't quite as generous as the HUMMER H3T's.
