HUMMER H3 SUV vs. Nissan Murano Review

Utility
The Nissan Murano's more massive trunk will accommodate more massive objects than the HUMMER. Neither the HUMMER nor the Nissan Murano has a marked advantage as far as seating capacity. There's no clear winner between the HUMMER H3 and the Nissan Murano with respect to transporting cargo. Towing is significantly more the HUMMER's forte than it is the Murano's.

Dimensions
The HUMMER H3 is quite a bit more ponderous than the Nissan. The Nissan Murano's tank is about the same size as the HUMMER H3's, though the HUMMER H3's is slightly more capacious. The HUMMER rides lower than the Murano, which is a good thing for its center of gravity and ease of access. The HUMMER H3 and the Nissan Murano compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
The HUMMER's fuel tank will need to be replenished more often than the unit in the Nissan Murano.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs approximately the same to get the HUMMER H3 to the dealership as the Murano. The HUMMER H3 pales in comparison to the Murano as far as gas mileage. As far as MSRP, the Nissan Murano doesn't cost much less than the HUMMER H3. The Nissan Murano will save you a bundle at the pump every year compared to the HUMMER H3.

Handling
The HUMMER H3 has significantly bigger tires than the Nissan Murano. Note that bigger tires can improve handling, while smaller tires can provide better handling in deep snow. With their similar turning circles, the HUMMER and the Murano very likely handle approximately the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The H3's engine isn't much more sizeable than the Murano's. The HUMMER H3 has no lessons to learn as far as pickup from the Nissan.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Nissan Murano offers a bit more head room than the HUMMER H3, there really isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Nissan Murano provides a bit more head- and leg-room than the HUMMER H3, there honestly isn't much of a difference.
