HUMMER H3 SUV vs. Mazda CX-7 Review

Handling
The HUMMER H3 has significantly bigger tires than the Mazda. Keep in mind that wider tires can improve handling, while smaller tires could improve gas mileage.

Drivetrain
The Mazda CX-7's engine is substantially smaller than the HUMMER H3's. Note that smaller engines can be stressed more; on the flip side, smaller engines are often cheaper to fix. The HUMMER H3 could learn a lesson or two from the Mazda CX-7 regarding torque.

Utility
There's no obvious winner between the Mazda and the H3 regarding transporting cargo. Neither the HUMMER H3 nor the Mazda has a marked advantage regarding seating capacity. The HUMMER outpulls the Mazda CX-7 by a big margin.

Convenience
The Mazda CX-7's fuel tank will need to be replenished somewhat more often than the unit in the HUMMER H3.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the H3 offers a bit more head room than the CX-7, there really isn't much of a difference. The Mazda CX-7 is not particularly more spacious for your passengers than the HUMMER H3.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the H3 than the Mazda because of its larger tank. The Mazda CX-7 and the HUMMER H3 compete for the same parking spaces.

The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs approximately the same to get the Mazda CX-7 to the dealership as the HUMMER H3. As far as fuel economy, the Mazda CX-7 has the HUMMER H3 beat. When it comes to fuel economy, the Mazda CX-7 beats the HUMMER. In terms of MSRP, the HUMMER H3 costs approximately as much as the Mazda CX-7 (though the Mazda CX-7 is a tad cheaper).
