HUMMER H3 SUV vs. GMC Acadia Review

Drivers with frequent child-duty might favor the Acadia over the HUMMER H3 SUV. The HUMMER outpulls the GMC by a sizeable margin.

Dimensions
The GMC Acadia's tank is approximately the same size as the HUMMER H3 SUV's, though the HUMMER's is a bit larger. The HUMMER H3 SUV and the GMC Acadia compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
The HUMMER H3 SUV's fuel tank will need to be replenished more often than the unit in the GMC Acadia.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs almost the same to get the Acadia to the dealership as the H3 SUV. As far as fuel economy, the GMC Acadia beats the HUMMER. Regarding MSRP, the HUMMER H3 SUV costs about as much as the GMC Acadia (though the GMC Acadia is somewhat cheaper). The GMC Acadia will save you a bundle at the pump every year compared to the H3 SUV.

Handling
With its tighter turning circle, the HUMMER H3 SUV is most certainly more agile than the GMC Acadia, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the flip side, bear in mind that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The GMC Acadia's engine is a tad smaller than the H3 SUV's, but not terribly so. The HUMMER H3 SUV could learn a lesson or two from the GMC with respect to torque.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the HUMMER offers a bit more head room than the GMC Acadia, there really isn't much of a difference. The GMC Acadia is not particularly roomier for your passengers than the HUMMER H3 SUV.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the GMC Acadia isn't quite as generous as the HUMMER H3 SUV's.
