HUMMER H3 SUV vs. Ford Edge Review

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The HUMMER H3 is markedly cheaper to get to the dealership than the Ford Edge. The Ford Edge isn't much less expensive than the HUMMER H3 when it comes to MSRP.

Utility
The Ford's larger trunk will accommodate more massive items than the HUMMER H3. Neither the H3 nor the Ford has a marked advantage with respect to seating capacity. There's no clear winner between the HUMMER H3 and the Ford as far as transporting cargo. The H3 outpulls the Ford Edge by a large margin.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the HUMMER offers a bit more head room than the Ford Edge, there honestly isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Ford Edge make it more spacious for your passengers than the HUMMER H3.

Dimensions
The HUMMER H3 is a tad heavier than the Ford Edge. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the HUMMER H3 than the Ford Edge because of its more capacious tank. The HUMMER H3 rides lower than the Edge, which is a good thing for its center of gravity and ease of access. The Ford Edge and the HUMMER H3 compete for the same parking spaces.

Handling
The HUMMER H3 has markedly bigger tires than the Edge. Note that wider tires can look and feel better, while narrower tires might improve gas mileage. With their comparable turning radii, the HUMMER and the Ford quite certainly handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Ford Edge's engine is a bit smaller than the HUMMER's, but not terribly so. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Ford Edge isn't much more powerful than the HUMMER.

Overview
The basic warranty that comes with the Ford Edge isn't quite as generous as the HUMMER H3's.
