HUMMER H3 SUV vs. Chrysler Aspen Review

Performance
With that kind of horsepower, both the HUMMER H3 SUV and the Chrysler are genuine speedsters.

Drivetrain
The Chrysler Aspen has a more massive engine than the H3 SUV. Keep in mind that smaller engines typically get better gas mileage, but a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder. The Chrysler Aspen packs quite a punch compared to the HUMMER H3 SUV with respect to torque, which is roughly equivalent to acceleration. The HUMMER could learn a lesson or two from the Chrysler Aspen with respect to pickup.

Utility
The Chrysler Aspen will most definitely prove more practical than the H3 SUV for those of you with frequent child-cargo. The Aspen is likely a better choice than the H3 SUV as far as hauling capacity, especially if you often need to carry a lot of equipment or sizeable dogs. Towing is significantly more the Aspen's forte than it is the HUMMER H3 SUV's.

Convenience
You will have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the HUMMER H3 SUV than with the Chrysler Aspen.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Chrysler Aspen offers a bit more head room than the HUMMER H3 SUV, there frankly isn't much of a difference. The Chrysler Aspen is not particularly more spacious for your passengers than the HUMMER H3 SUV.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Chrysler than the H3 SUV because of its larger tank. The HUMMER H3 SUV and the Chrysler Aspen compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the HUMMER to the dealership as the Chrysler. In terms of gas mileage, the Chrysler Aspen is a bit better than the HUMMER H3 SUV, but not by much. The Chrysler is substantially less costly than the HUMMER H3 SUV as far as MSRP.
