HUMMER H2 SUV vs. Land Rover LR3 Review

Performance
With that kind of horsepower, both the HUMMER H2 and the LR3 are veritable speedsters.

Handling
The HUMMER H2 has substantially bigger tires than the Land Rover LR3. Note that bigger tires can look and feel better, while smaller tires might improve gas mileage. With its tighter turning circle, the Land Rover LR3 is doubtless nimbler than the HUMMER, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; however, remember that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The HUMMER H2 has a larger engine than the Land Rover LR3. Note that smaller engines typically get better gas mileage, but smaller engines can be stressed more. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the HUMMER H2 is substantially more powerful than the Land Rover LR3. Torque equals pickup, and the HUMMER will have picked up and gone by the time the Land Rover LR3 finally gets moving.

Utility
There's no clear winner between the Land Rover LR3 and the HUMMER H2 with respect to transporting cargo. Drivers with frequent child-duty might favor the Land Rover LR3 over the HUMMER H2. The Land Rover LR3 outpulls the HUMMER H2 by a massive margin.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the HUMMER H2 offers a bit more head room than the Land Rover LR3, there honestly isn't much of a difference. The Land Rover LR3 is not particularly more spacious for your passengers than the HUMMER.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the HUMMER H2 than the Land Rover LR3 because of its larger tank. The HUMMER H2 rides lower than the Land Rover LR3, which is a good thing for its center of gravity and ease of access. The HUMMER H2 and the Land Rover LR3 compete for the same parking spaces. The Land Rover LR3's shorter wheelbase will give a nimbler feel in daily traffic. On the flip side, the H2 is likely to have a smoother, more stable ride.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Land Rover LR3 is markedly cheaper to get to the dealership than the HUMMER H2. With respect to MSRP, the Land Rover LR3 costs quite a bit less than the HUMMER H2. The LR3 isn't much less expensive than the HUMMER H2 when it comes to purchase price.
