HUMMER H2 SUT vs. Ford F-450 Review

Handling
The HUMMER has tremendously bigger tires than the F-450 Super Duty. Note that wider tires could look and feel better, while narrower tires might provide better handling in deep snow. With its tighter turning radius, the HUMMER H2 SUT is indubitably more maneuverable than the Ford F-450 Super Duty, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the flip side, keep in mind that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The HUMMER H2 SUT's engine is somewhat smaller than the Ford F-450 Super Duty's, but not terribly so. Torque equals pickup, and the Ford F-450 Super Duty will have picked up and gone by the time the HUMMER H2 SUT finally gets moving.

Utility
Drivers with frequent child-duty might favor the Ford F-450 Super Duty over the HUMMER H2 SUT. The Ford is likely a better choice than the HUMMER H2 SUT in terms of hauling capacity, especially if you frequently need to carry a lot of luggage or big pets. Towing is markedly more the Ford's forte than it is the HUMMER H2 SUT's.

While the front cabin in the Ford offers a bit more head room than the HUMMER H2 SUT, there really isn't much of a difference. The Ford F-450 Super Duty offers more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the HUMMER H2 SUT does.

The Ford F-450 Super Duty is markedly heavier than the HUMMER H2 SUT. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Ford F-450 Super Duty than the HUMMER because of its more capacious tank. The HUMMER H2 SUT rides lower than the F-450 Super Duty, which is a good thing for its center of gravity and ease of access. The HUMMER H2 SUT fits in smaller parking spaces than the Ford F-450 Super Duty. The HUMMER H2 SUT's shorter wheelbase will give a more agile feel in daily traffic. On the other hand, the Ford is likely to have a smoother, more stable ride.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs approximately the same to get the H2 SUT to the dealership as the Ford F-450 Super Duty. The HUMMER H2 SUT is considerably more expensive than the Ford F-450 Super Duty regarding MSRP.
