2010 Honda Pilot Overview
As far as crossover SUV’s go, the 2010 Honda Pilot flies above the competition with its power, seating capacity and safety features.

The Pilot offers four models to choose from; the standard LX, the semi-premium EX and EX-L and the ultra premium Touring.  Each trim is available in 4-wheel drive and all come equipped with a 250-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine.  Three rows of seats accommodate eight passengers and a Class III trailer hitch tows up to 4,500 pounds.  Hill Start Assist keeps the Pilot from rolling backward on inclines and Speed-Sensitive Volume Control (SVC) adjusts the volume depending on exterior noises.  The Pilot receives a modest 16-17 mpg in the city and 22-23 mpg on the highway and competes with the Toyota Highlander, GMC Acadia and Mazda CX-9.

The 2010 Honda Pilot has three rows of seats with 18 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row and 87 cubic feet with both second and third rows folded.  The Pilot offers 16 different seating configurations thanks to the 60/40 split-folding second- and third-row seats. Rectangular headlights border a six-sided new-look grille and compliment the box-shaped body.

The LX has a plethora of quality standard features, but it’s not until you get to the EX and EX-L that you begin to get an idea of the Pilot’s potential.  The EX comes with an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, Tri-zone Automatic Climate Control with Humidity Control and 17-inch alloy wheels. The EX-L comes equipped with a moonroof, acoustic windshield, optional DVD rear entertainment system, leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats and a 512-watt AM/FM 6-disc sound system with 10 speakers and subwoofer.

If the EX-L wasn’t enough, the top-of-the-line Pilot Touring represents the pinnacle of crossover SUV innovation.  Features include: power tailgate, 17-inch alloy wheels, side-mirror-integrated turn signals, Bluetooth connectivity, Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with voice recognition, rear view camera, MP3 auxiliary input jack and USB audio interface connectivity.

All Pilots include all-disc antilock brakes, an electronic stability system and side-impact and curtain airbags for all three rows of seats. The Pilot is ready to carry your growing family with Lower Anchors and Tether for Children (LATCH), which anchors up to four children.

The 2010 Honda Pilot is set to take off with its successful blend of dependability, power, versatility, innovation and style.
