2010 Honda Odyssey Overview
The 2010 Honda Odyssey continues a tradition of Honda excellence in family transportation. Honda’s Odyssey promises as much adventure as Homer’s Odyssey, but offers enough power to get you home in time for dinner.

The 2010 Honda Odyssey comes standard with a 3.5-liter V-6 that produces a sturdy 244-horsepower, and delivers a combined city/highway EPA rating of 18 mpg. By upgrading to the EX-L or Touring package, you get a V-6 with Honda’s Variable Cylinder Management, which shuts down some of the engine cylinders when less power is needed – this helps raise the Odyssey’s EPA combined rating to 20 mpg, which is on par with the competition.

Inside the Odyssey has a host of great features and lots of room for today’s family. Three row seating — the third row offers a split-fold feature for maximum cargo and passenger flexibility — accepts up to eight passengers (except on the base LX model, which seats seven). Only the Toyota Sienna minivan offers more cargo storage, and the rest of the competition is left in the dust.

The 2010 Honda Odyssey base model, the LX, comes well-equipped with cloth-upholstered seats, a full offering of power features, and a 120-Watt 4-speaker stereo. Upgrading to the EX-L and Touring models enhances the Odyssey with a power moonroof, power sliding doors, a three-zone automatic climate control system, an 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, and leather upholstery. The Touring model also includes a power tailgate, a 350-Watt stereo, and parking sensors, among many other goodies.

Safety is always a priority at Honda, and the Odyssey delivers peace of mind with standard side curtain airbags for all three rows of seats, as well as dual stage front airbags and front side airbags. Along with a standard antilock braking system, Honda includes features that help maximize the effectiveness of the brakes. The 2010 Honda Odyssey also comes standard with vehicle stability controls to help keep the car from sliding in slippery conditions. And in the event of a crash, all occupants may take confidence in the Odyssey’s five-star front and side crash ratings.

Though the 2010 Honda Odyssey is one of the most expensive minivans offered, you get what you pay for and feel good about it. The Odyssey offers top quality in every feature, great functionality, all wrapped up in the safe, reliable, fun-to-drive package you expect from Honda.
