Honda Fit vs. Kia Spectra5 Review

Neither the Fit nor the Spectra5 has a marked advantage as far as seating capacity.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Kia Spectra5 than the Honda Fit because of its bigger tank. The Honda Fit and the Kia Spectra5 compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
You will most certainly have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Honda Fit than with the Kia Spectra5.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Kia Spectra5 to the dealership as the Honda. Producing an accurate gas mileage evaluation is so tricky that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though the Honda Fit is the winner regarding gas mileage. There frankly isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Honda Fit is slightly more economical than the Spectra5. The Kia Spectra5 isn't much costlier than the Honda Fit as far as MSRP.

Handling
With their comparable turning radii, the Kia Spectra5 and the Honda Fit quite certainly handle approximately the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Kia Spectra5 has a larger engine than the Honda Fit. Keep in mind that smaller engines are often cheaper to fix, but a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder. Torque equals pickup, and the Kia Spectra5 will have picked up and gone by the time the Honda Fit finally gets moving. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Kia Spectra5 is considerably more powerful than the Honda Fit.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Honda Fit offers a bit more head room than the Kia Spectra5, there really isn't much of a difference. The Kia is not particularly roomier for your passengers than the Honda Fit.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the Fit isn't quite as generous as the Kia Spectra5's.
