Honda Fit vs. Kia Forte Koup Review

Performance
With respect to horsepower, the Kia Forte Koup packs quite a punch and will knock the Honda Fit down a few rungs. On the flip side, note that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With their comparable turning radii, the Kia Forte Koup and the Honda Fit quite certainly handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Kia Forte Koup's engine is significantly more massive than the Honda Fit's. Note that bigger engines may use more gasoline than smaller ones. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Kia Forte Koup is considerably more powerful than the Honda Fit. The Honda Fit could learn a lesson or two from the Kia Forte Koup in terms of torque.

Utility
Neither the Fit nor the Kia Forte Koup has a marked advantage with respect to seating capacity.

Convenience
You will have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Honda Fit than with the Kia Forte Koup.

Comfort
Taller drivers will substantially enjoy the extra head room in the Honda Fit's front cabin compared to the Kia Forte Koup. The ampler interior dimensions of the Fit make it substantially roomier for your passengers than the Kia Forte Koup.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Forte Koup than the Honda because of its larger tank. The Honda Fit and the Kia Forte Koup compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the Kia Forte Koup to the dealership as the Honda Fit. In terms of fuel economy, the Fit bests the Kia Forte Koup. There isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Honda Fit is a tad more economical than the Kia Forte Koup. The Honda isn't much less costly than the Kia regarding MSRP.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the Fit isn't quite as generous as the Kia Forte Koup's.
