Honda Fit vs. BMW Z4 Review

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the BMW Z4 packs quite a punch and will knock the Honda Fit down a few rungs. However, keep in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums. With its very low horsepower-to-weight ratio, the Z4 will knock you back into your seat when you hit the gas pedal.

Handling
With its front-wheel drive layout, the Honda Fit likely has better traction in rain, snow or ice than the BMW; however, the BMW's rear-wheel drive layout likely provides better dry traction. The BMW Z4 has considerably bigger tires than the Honda. Note that wider tires may look and feel better, while narrower tires might provide better handling in deep snow. With its tighter turning circle, the BMW Z4 is doubtless sprier than the Fit, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; however, remember that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Honda's engine is tremendously smaller than the Z4's. Note that smaller engines can be stressed more; however, smaller engines typically get better gas mileage. Torque equals pickup, and the Z4 will have picked up and gone by the time the Honda Fit finally gets moving. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the BMW Z4 is tremendously more powerful than the Honda Fit.

Utility
The Honda Fit will most definitely prove more convenient than the BMW Z4 for those of you with frequent child-cargo.

Convenience
You'll very likely take the BMW Z4 for a fill-up approximately as often as the Honda Fit. You likely won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Z4 than with the Honda Fit, as both offer similar mileage ranges.

Comfort
Taller drivers will substantially enjoy the extra head room in the Honda Fit's front cabin compared to the BMW Z4.

Dimensions
The BMW Z4 is markedly heavier than the Honda Fit. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the BMW Z4 than the Honda Fit because of its more capacious tank. The Fit and the BMW compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Honda is considerably cheaper to get to the dealership than the BMW. The Honda Fit will save you money at the pump compared to the Z4. The BMW Z4 requires a lot of gas compared to the Honda Fit. With respect to MSRP, the Honda Fit costs tremendously less than the BMW Z4. The Honda Fit will save you a bundle at the pump every year compared to the BMW Z4. The BMW Z4 will cost you a bundle in gas every year compared to the Honda Fit.

Overview
The basic warranty that comes with the Fit isn't quite as generous as the BMW Z4's.
