Honda CR-V vs. Kia Sorento Review

Utility
Neither the Honda CR-V nor the Kia Sorento has a marked advantage in terms of seating capacity. The Kia Sorento is a better choice than the Honda when it comes to transporting cargo, especially if you frequently need to carry a lot of loot or sizeable pets. Towing is considerably more the Sorento's forte than it is the Honda CR-V's.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Kia Sorento packs quite a wallop and will knock the Honda CR-V down a few rungs. On the other hand, remember that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Dimensions
The Kia Sorento is significantly heavier than the Honda. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Kia Sorento than the Honda CR-V because of its larger tank. The CR-V and the Kia Sorento compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
You quite certainly won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Honda CR-V than with the Sorento, as both offer comparable ranges.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the CR-V to the dealership as the Sorento. The Honda CR-V will save you money at the pump compared to the Kia Sorento. When it comes to gas mileage, the Honda CR-V bests the Sorento. In terms of MSRP, the Kia Sorento doesn't cost much less than the Honda CR-V. The Kia Sorento will cost you a lots_of_money in gasoline every year compared to the Honda. The Honda CR-V will save you a lots_of_money at the pump every year compared to the Kia Sorento.

Handling
With their similar turning radii, the Sorento and the CR-V most certainly handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Sorento's engine is substantially bigger than the Honda CR-V's. Keep in mind that larger engines may use more gas than smaller ones. The Kia Sorento packs quite a punch compared to the Honda when it comes to torque, which is the force that lets you accelerate quickly. The CR-V could learn a lesson or two from the Kia Sorento in terms of torque.

Comfort
Taller drivers will considerably enjoy the extra head room in the CR-V's front cabin compared to the Sorento. While the rear of the Honda CR-V offers a bit more head- and leg-room than the Kia Sorento, there honestly isn't much of a difference.

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the Honda CR-V isn't quite as generous as the Kia Sorento's.
