Neither the Honda CR-V nor the Patriot has a marked advantage regarding seating capacity. The Jeep Patriot is a better choice than the Honda CR-V in terms of transporting cargo, especially if you often need to carry a lot of gear or massive pets. Towing is significantly more the Honda CR-V's forte than it is the Jeep Patriot's.

Dimensions
The Patriot's tank is almost the same size as the CR-V's, though the CR-V's is somewhat bigger. The Jeep Patriot and the Honda CR-V compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
You'll likely take the Jeep Patriot for a fill-up about as often as the CR-V.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Jeep to the dealership as the Honda CR-V. Producing an exact fuel economy evaluation is so tricky that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though both the Jeep and the Jeep perform almost similarly regarding gas mileage. With respect to gas mileage, the Jeep Patriot is slightly better than the Honda CR-V, but not by much. The Honda CR-V isn't much more expensive than the Jeep in terms of MSRP.

With their comparable turning radii, the Jeep Patriot and the Honda CR-V quite certainly handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

While the front cabin in the Patriot offers a bit more head room than the Honda CR-V, there honestly isn't much of a difference. The Jeep provides more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Honda CR-V does.
