Undergoing a major redesign last year, the 2008 GMC Yukon XL 1500 returns with a variety of engine choices, interior amenities, and seating configurations. With a huge interior and extended wheelbase, it offers slick styling, excellent towing capacity, and a choice between two-wheel drive and more capable four-wheel drive.

The Yukon XL 1500 is available in base SLE, SLT and top-of-the-line Denali trim levels. 2WD models feature a 5.3 liter V8 with Active Fuel Management™, deactivating engine cylinders to improve fuel economy while cruising. Optional is a 5.3 liter engine featuring E85 FlexFuel capability, allowing the engine to run on a gasoline/ethanol blend.
