Price, Photos, Reviews & Features
2010 GMC Yukon Overview
When first introduced in the early 1990s, the GMC Yukon sat up to six passengers and was offered with two doors and in only four-wheel drive. After a decade of changes, the 2010 GMC Yukon has exploded into a mammoth four-door, nine-passenger full-size SUV available in your choice of rear- or four-wheel-drive configurations.

The 2010 GMC Yukon is offered in SLE, SLT and premium Denali trim levels and measures the same width but is slightly shorter than its competitors Ford Expedition and Toyota Sequoia. Two powertrain options are offered, including a 320-horsepower, 5.3-liter V-8 with an available cylinder deactivation system for improved fuel economy and a monstrous 403-horsepower, 6.2-liter V-8 engine.  Both are coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and auto-manual.

For 2010, all Yukons are now E-85 capable. EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings are 14 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway, which isn’t too shabby for a full-size SUV with this kind of power. When properly equipped, the Yukon can tow up to 8,500 pounds. A 2010 GMC Yukon XL and hybrid model are also available.

The 2010 GMC Yukon sits on standard 17-inch aluminum wheels, while the Denali has 20-inch chrome wheels. Exterior features include integrated running boards and standard heated power side mirrors.

With benches across all three rows, the 2010 GMC Yukon can seat up to nine passengers. Upper-level models feature captain’s chairs in place of the first- and second-row benches bringing the passenger count down to seven. All models offer standard removable third-row seating and second-row seats fold flat providing maximum cargo capacity of 108.9 cubic feet. Additional standard interior features include a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls and XM Satellite Radio with real-time traffic reports. Heated/cooled seats and power fold-and-tumble second row seats are available.

Standard safety features include side curtain airbags with rollover sensor, side-mounted thorax airbags, four-wheel-disc antilock brakes and electronic stability system with traction control. Options include a blind spot warning system, rear park assist and an integrated rear camera in the rearview mirror.

The 2010 GMC Yukon has evolved throughout the years to become the full-size, nine-passenger SUV it is today. The Yukon offers two powerful engine options and drivetrain configurations, tons of cargo room and plenty of standard safety features to keep you happy and safe on the road.
