2009 GMC Yukon XL 2500 Overview
The 2009 GMC Yukon XL 2500 returns with sleek, aggressive styling, solid towing capacity, and a choice between two-wheel drive, four-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive models.

The Yukon XL 2500 is an extended-wheelbase version of the standard Yukon and comes in four trim levels. The standard Vortec 6.0-liter, 352-horsepower V-8 engine with variable valve timing provides big time towing power. The heavy-duty six-speed automatic transmission features manual driver shift control to manually select shifts with the push of a button. In Denali trim, standard all-wheel drive creates ultimate flexibility in all weather and road conditions.  The XL 2500 competes with the Chevrolet Suburban and Ford Expedition EL.

Amenities are plentiful, inside and out. Standard 16-inch aluminum wheels, leather-wrapped steering wheel, XM Satellite Radio with real-time traffic and available cloth, vinyl or leather-appointed seats announce you’ve arrived in style. Standard power adjustable pedals make it easy for drivers of all sizes to enjoy the ride. Ultrasonic rear park assist provides an audible beep to indicate your distance from objects when backing up. An optional Bose® nine-speaker audio system with dual-play CD/MP3/DVD player provides excellent acoustic clarity. The optional navigation radio includes voice recognition and a touch-screen navigation screen for ease of use.

With seating capacity up to nine passengers, the Yukon XL 2500 is the perfect choice for big families. Cargo room is voluminous, with a maximum of 137.4 cubic feet with the optional third-row seat removed and second row seat folded. Towing capacity is extremely competitive, with a maximum of 9,700 lbs. on 2WD models. Dual front airbags and head-curtain side airbags for all rows are standard, with a rollover sensor for added protection. Also standard is the StabiliTrak electronic stability control system, improving vehicle stability during emergency maneuvers. The standard anti-lock braking system helps to maintain control by reducing wheel lockup during hard braking.

Big, rugged, and capable, the 2009 GMC Yukon XL 2500 is a three-quarter-ton full-size SUV with major league power and amenities.
