The GMC Terrain is a sibling of the Chevrolet Equinox, but the two compact crossover SUVs have entirely different styling. The Terrain has seating for five and comes with front- or all-wheel drive and a four-cylinder or V-6 engine. Competitors include the Ford Escape, Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V.

New for 2015
The OnStar communication system adds 4G LTE internet connectivity with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. A three-month/3-gigabyte data trial is included.
