2010 GMC Savana 3500 Overview
The 2010 GMC Savana 3500 full-size passenger van offers a variety of options and configurations, competitive interior cargo and passenger volume and a host of engine options, including gasoline, flex-fuel and diesel.

The 2010 GMC Savana 3500 full-size passenger van is available in LS and LT trim levels, quarter-ton, half-ton and one-ton weight classes, regular- and long-wheelbases, four different van models—including cargo, passenger in regular and extended lengths, conversion and cutaway—and five engine choices.

Available in rear- and all-wheel-drive configurations, the GMC Savana 3500 competes with Dodge Sprinter and Ford E-Series and receives two new flex-fuel engines for 2010—a 280-horsepower, 4.8-liter V-8 and 323-horsepower, 6.0-liter V-8. A 195-horsepower, 4.3-liter V-6 gasoline; 310-horsepower 5.3-liter V-8 flex-fuel; and 250-horsepower, 6.6-liter V-8 diesel engine are also available and all 2500 and 3500 models receive a new six-speed automatic transmission and new rear axles. Standard features include integral power steering and a quiet alternator, while a fast idle option is available on the 6.0-liter V-8 engine and allows you to use heavy-duty accessories while idling.

Regular-length passenger and cargo vans are available with a 60/40-split left-side entry and loading door. Offered on work models, side access panels allow access to both sides of the van and features remote release. Regular-length models measure 224 inches long while extended-length models ride on a 244-inch long body. The 2010 GMC Savana 3500 sits on standard 16-inch wheels with 17-inch aluminum wheels and a Chrome Appearance Package available as options.

Passenger vans can carry eight, 12 or 15 passengers, while cargo versions seat two. Maximum interior cargo volume is 225.1 cubic feet for regular-length models while extended-length models offer a massive 261.6 cubic feet of cargo volume. Available interior features include a new remote vehicle start function, power locks and windows and cruise control.

A host of standard safety features are offered, including side-curtain airbags for the first three rows on passenger models, driver and front-passenger airbags, all-disc antilock brakes and electronic stability control on passenger models. In addition, 12- and 15-passenger models feature three-layer glass to prevent ejection during an accident.
