2011 GMC Savana 1500 Overview
The 2011 GMC Savana 1500 is the first in GMC’s line of versatile cargo/passenger vans.
Highly customizable, the Savana 1500 can be outfitted to carry people, work tools, or whatever else you need to fit inside of it. Under the hood there are two engine options: a 195-horsepower, 4.3-liter V-6 or a Flex Fuel/E85 capable 310-horsepower, 5.3-liter V-8. There is only one available transmission, a four-speed automatic, and the Savana 1500 is available with rear- or all-wheel drive.
Cargo versions of the Savana 1500 come with only two seats up front, leaving 270.4 cubic feet of cargo room to be filled. The V-6 engine is standard.
Passenger versions of the Savana 1500 can seat up to eight people and come in either LS or LT trims with the more powerful V-8 standard.
Air conditioning comes standard, while power windows and locks, remote keyless entry, and power seats are available as options.
Safety features include all-disc antilock brakes, front airbags, and electronic stability control. Passenger versions add standard side curtain airbags.
