GMC Envoy vs. Volvo XC60 Review

Handling
With their similar turning circles, the GMC Envoy and the Volvo XC60 most certainly handle roughly the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The GMC Envoy has a more massive engine than the Volvo XC60. Keep in mind that smaller engines typically get better gas mileage, but smaller engines can be stressed more. The GMC Envoy has no lessons to learn in terms of torque from the XC60.

Utility
The GMC Envoy and the Volvo XC60 can accommodate the same number of passengers. The Envoy outpulls the Volvo XC60 by a large margin.

Convenience
You'll likely take the XC60 for a fill-up roughly as often as the GMC Envoy.

Comfort
Taller drivers will significantly enjoy the extra head room in the GMC Envoy's front cabin compared to the Volvo XC60. While the rear of the GMC Envoy provides a bit more head- and leg-room than the XC60, there frankly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the GMC Envoy than the Volvo because of its larger tank. The Volvo XC60 and the GMC Envoy compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Envoy is substantially cheaper to get to the dealership than the Volvo XC60. With respect to gas mileage, the Volvo XC60 beats the GMC Envoy. The Volvo XC60 isn't much less pricey than the GMC regarding MSRP.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the GMC isn't quite as generous as the XC60's.
