GMC Envoy vs. Toyota 4Runner Review

Handling
With their similar turning radii, the GMC Envoy and the 4Runner most certainly handle approximately the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Toyota 4Runner's engine is slightly smaller than the GMC Envoy's, but not terribly so. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Toyota 4Runner isn't much more powerful than the GMC Envoy.

Utility
The Toyota 4Runner and the GMC Envoy can accommodate the same number of passengers. The Toyota 4Runner is a better choice than the GMC Envoy in terms of hauling capacity, especially if you frequently need to carry a lot of gear or large pets. The GMC Envoy outpulls the Toyota by a large margin.

Convenience
The Envoy's fuel tank will need to be replenished more often than the unit in the Toyota.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the GMC Envoy offers a bit more head room than the Toyota 4Runner, there really isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the GMC Envoy make it substantially roomier for your passengers than the 4Runner.

The GMC Envoy's tank is about the same size as the 4Runner's, though the Toyota's is somewhat bigger. The Toyota 4Runner and the GMC Envoy compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs approximately the same to get the GMC Envoy to the dealership as the Toyota 4Runner. Regarding fuel economy, the Toyota 4Runner has the GMC Envoy beat. Regarding gas mileage, the Toyota 4Runner is a little better than the GMC Envoy, but not by much. When it comes to MSRP, the GMC Envoy doesn't cost much less than the Toyota 4Runner.

Warranty
The GMC Envoy and the 4Runner have the same basic after-sale protection.
