GMC Envoy vs. Lexus RX 350 Review

Handling
With its tighter turning circle, the GMC Envoy is quite certainly sprier than the Lexus RX 350, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; however, bear in mind that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The RX 350's engine is significantly smaller than the GMC Envoy's. Note that a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder; on the other hand, smaller engines are often cheaper to fix. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the GMC Envoy isn't much more powerful than the Lexus RX 350.

Utility
Neither the GMC Envoy nor the RX 350 has a marked advantage as far as seating capacity. The GMC Envoy outpulls the RX 350 by a sizeable margin.

Convenience
You definitely won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the GMC Envoy than with the RX 350, as both offer comparable mileage ranges.

Comfort
Taller drivers will significantly enjoy the extra head room in the GMC's front cabin compared to the Lexus RX 350. The GMC Envoy is not particularly more spacious for your passengers than the Lexus RX 350.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the GMC Envoy than the Lexus RX 350 because of its larger tank. The Lexus and the GMC Envoy compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The GMC Envoy is substantially cheaper to get to the dealership than the Lexus RX 350. Producing an exact gas mileage evaluation is so difficult that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though the Lexus RX 350 is the winner as far as fuel economy. The Lexus RX 350 will save you money at the pump compared to the GMC Envoy. In terms of MSRP, the GMC Envoy doesn't cost much less than the Lexus RX 350.

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the GMC isn't quite as generous as the Lexus RX 350's.
