GMC Envoy vs. Ford Explorer Review

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs almost the same to get the GMC Envoy to the dealership as the Ford Explorer. With respect to fuel economy, the GMC Envoy and the Ford Explorer don't differ much. The Ford won't tax your gas budget significantly more than the GMC will. Regarding MSRP, the Explorer doesn't cost much less than the Envoy.

Utility
Drivers with frequent kid-duty might favor the Ford Explorer over the Envoy. The Ford Explorer is likely a better choice than the GMC as far as hauling capacity, especially if you often need to carry a lot of suitcases or massive pets. There's little the GMC can tow that the Ford Explorer cannot.

Convenience
You definitely won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Ford Explorer than with the Envoy, as both offer comparable mileage ranges.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Envoy offers a bit more head room than the Ford, there really isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Envoy provides a bit more head- and leg-room than the Ford Explorer, there frankly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The GMC Envoy's tank is roughly the same size as the Ford Explorer's, though the Explorer's is a little larger. The GMC Envoy and the Ford compete for the same parking spaces.

Handling
With their comparable turning circles, the GMC Envoy and the Ford Explorer most definitely handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The GMC Envoy's engine isn't much larger than the Explorer's.

Warranty
The GMC Envoy and the Ford Explorer have the same basic warranty.
