GMC Envoy vs. Chevrolet Traverse Review

Handling
With its tighter turning circle, the Envoy is quite certainly nimbler than the Chevrolet, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; however, bear in mind that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The GMC Envoy has a more massive engine than the Chevrolet. Bear in mind that smaller engines typically get better gas mileage, but smaller engines can be stressed more. The Chevrolet Traverse has no lessons to learn in terms of torque from the GMC Envoy.

Utility
Drivers with frequent child-duty might favor the Chevrolet over the GMC Envoy. Towing is substantially more the GMC Envoy's forte than it is the Chevrolet Traverse's.

Convenience
The GMC Envoy's fuel tank will need to be replenished more often than the unit in the Chevrolet Traverse.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Chevrolet Traverse offers a bit more head room than the GMC Envoy, there frankly isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the GMC Envoy offers a bit more head- and leg-room than the Chevrolet, there really isn't much of a difference.

The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs approximately the same to get the GMC Envoy to the dealership as the Chevrolet Traverse. When it comes to gas mileage, the Chevrolet has the GMC Envoy beat. The GMC Envoy consumes a lot of gasoline compared to the Chevrolet Traverse. The Chevrolet Traverse isn't much less costly than the GMC with respect to MSRP.

The Chevrolet Traverse and the GMC Envoy have the same basic after-sale protection.
