GMC Envoy vs. Acura RDX Review

The GMC and the Acura RDX can accommodate the same number of passengers. The GMC Envoy is a better choice than the Acura RDX as far as transporting cargo, especially if you often need to carry a lot of cargo or sizeable dogs. The GMC Envoy outpulls the Acura RDX by a large margin.

Dimensions
The GMC Envoy is significantly heavier than the Acura RDX. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Envoy than the RDX because of its bigger tank. The Acura RDX and the GMC Envoy compete for the same parking spaces. The RDX's shorter wheelbase may produce a less-settled highway ride but a more maneuverable feel in daily traffic than the GMC Envoy.

Convenience
You won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Acura RDX than with the GMC Envoy, as both offer comparable ranges.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs almost the same to get the GMC Envoy to the dealership as the Acura RDX. When it comes to gas mileage, the Acura RDX has the GMC Envoy beat. As far as gas mileage, the Acura RDX is a tad better than the GMC, but not by much. The GMC Envoy isn't much pricier than the Acura RDX when it comes to MSRP.

Handling
With their comparable turning radii, the GMC Envoy and the Acura likely handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The GMC Envoy has a more sizeable engine than the Acura RDX. Keep in mind that smaller engines are often cheaper to fix, but smaller engines can be stressed more.

Comfort
Taller drivers will significantly enjoy the extra head room in the GMC Envoy's front cabin compared to the Acura RDX. The GMC Envoy is not particularly more spacious for your passengers than the Acura RDX.

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the GMC Envoy isn't quite as generous as the RDX's.
