GMC Acadia vs. Volvo XC90 Review

Handling
With their comparable turning radii, the Volvo XC90 and the GMC Acadia quite certainly handle roughly the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Volvo XC90's engine is somewhat smaller than the GMC Acadia's, but not terribly so. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the GMC Acadia is substantially more powerful than the Volvo XC90.

Utility
The GMC Acadia will definitely prove more practical than the Volvo XC90 for those of you with frequent kid-cargo. The XC90 outpulls the GMC Acadia by a large margin.

Convenience
You'll definitely have to take the Volvo XC90 for a fill-up more often than the GMC Acadia because of its tank size and gas mileage.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Acadia offers a bit more head room than the Volvo XC90, there really isn't much of a difference. The GMC Acadia provides more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Volvo XC90 does.

Dimensions
The Volvo's tank is about the same size as the GMC Acadia's, though the GMC Acadia's is somewhat bigger. The Volvo XC90 and the GMC compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the GMC Acadia to the dealership as the Volvo. As far as gas mileage, the Acadia and the XC90 don't differ much. The GMC Acadia will save you money at the pump compared to the Volvo XC90. As far as MSRP, the XC90 costs about as much as the Acadia (though the Acadia is slightly cheaper).

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the Acadia isn't quite as generous as the Volvo XC90's.
