The Expedition and the GMC Acadia can accommodate the same number of passengers. Towing is considerably more the Ford Expedition's forte than it is the Acadia's.

The Ford Expedition is considerably heavier than the Acadia. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Ford Expedition than the GMC Acadia because of its bigger tank. The GMC Acadia and the Ford Expedition compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
The Expedition's fuel tank will need to be replenished somewhat more often than the unit in the GMC Acadia.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The GMC Acadia is considerably cheaper to get to the dealership than the Ford Expedition. Producing an exact gas mileage evaluation is so hard that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though the Acadia is the winner with respect to fuel economy. With their similar turning radiuses, the Acadia and the Expedition most definitely handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

The Ford Expedition has a more massive engine than the Acadia. Keep in mind that smaller engines typically get better gas mileage, but smaller engines can be stressed more. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Ford Expedition is significantly more powerful than the Acadia.

While the front cabin in the GMC offers a bit more head room than the Ford Expedition, there really isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Ford Expedition make it roomier for your passengers than the GMC.
