GMC Acadia vs. Chevrolet Tahoe Review

Handling
With their similar turning radii, the Chevrolet Tahoe and the GMC Acadia likely handle approximately the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Chevrolet has a larger engine than the GMC Acadia. Keep in mind that smaller engines are often cheaper to fix, but a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder. The GMC Acadia could learn a lesson or two from the Chevrolet Tahoe as far as torque. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the Tahoe is considerably more powerful than the GMC Acadia.

Utility
Neither the GMC Acadia nor the Chevrolet has a marked advantage when it comes to seating capacity. Towing is considerably more the Chevrolet's forte than it is the GMC Acadia's.

Convenience
You most certainly won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Acadia than with the Tahoe, because both offer similar ranges.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Chevrolet offers a bit more head room than the GMC Acadia, there frankly isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Chevrolet make it roomier for your passengers than the GMC.

Dimensions
The Chevrolet is substantially heavier than the GMC Acadia. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Chevrolet Tahoe than the Acadia because of its larger tank. The GMC and the Tahoe compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The GMC Acadia is substantially cheaper to get to the dealership than the Chevrolet Tahoe. The Chevrolet Tahoe doesn't pale in comparison to the GMC Acadia as far as gas mileage. Regarding gas mileage, the GMC Acadia has the Tahoe beat. In terms of MSRP, the Chevrolet costs about as much as the GMC Acadia (though the GMC Acadia is slightly cheaper).
