2010 GMC Acadia Overview
If it isn’t broken why fix it? Such is the motto at General Motors when it comes to the 2010 GMC Acadia crossover utility vehicle, which receives only minor enhancements for the new model year.

Available in four trim levels, SL, SLE, SLT-1 and SLT-2, and with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, the 2010 GMC Acadia is powered by a 288-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Though spacious with three rows of seating, holding up to seven passengers, and plenty of cargo room, the 2010 GMC Acadia still offers competitive fuel efficiency in its class, including the  Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and Mazda CX-9. The FWD version can achieve up to 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway, while the all-wheel-drive version is EPA-rated at 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. An available rear-seat entertainment system makes the Acadia a great vehicle for family vacations.

New features include available 20-inch chrome-clad wheels, USB connectivity located in the center console which enables stored audio files to play through the audio system, a Yukon Denali-style roof rack, and an available cashmere interior. The SL comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, front and rear air-conditioning, power accessories, cruise control, and a six-speaker CD/MP3 stereo system with XM satellite radio. The SLE adds foglamps, a power liftgate, remote ignition, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, Bluetooth, rear parking sensors and a back-up camera.

The SLT-1 offers 19-inch wheels, heated mirrors, a variable-assist steering system, tri-zone automatic climate control, rear audio controls and headphone jacks, leather upholstery, heated front seats and a 10-speaker Bose stereo with a USB audio jack. The premium SLT-2 adds 20-inch chrome wheels, power-folding heated mirrors with driver-side auto-dimming, leather upholstery, and a towing preparation package. If you’re looking to do some hauling, the 2010 GMC Acadia can tow up to 5,200 lbs. when properly equipped.

The 2010 GMC Acadia’s standard safety features include an advanced airbag system including frontal and side-impact for driver and front passenger and head curtain side-impact for all rows in outboard seating positions. StabiliTrak stability-control system and brake assist with traction control also come standard as well as a one-year subscription to OnStar’s Directions and Connections plan, which includes automatic crash response, stolen vehicle assistance, remote door unlock, roadside assistance, turn-by-turn navigation, hands-free calling, and vehicle diagnostics.

If you are looking for a crossover with premium standard safety features, competitive fuel economy and a spacious interior that can comfortably seat the whole family, be sure to check out the 2010 GMC Acadia.
