2014 Ford Taurus Overview

Vehicle Overview
The Ford Taurus is available in SE, SEL and Limited trim levels and is offered with front- or all-wheel drive. The Taurus, which seats up to five people, competes with the Chevrolet Impala, Hyundai Azera and Toyota Avalon.

New for 2014
The Limited trim level now comes standard with heated and cooled front seats, a power tilt/telescoping steering wheel and push-button start. There's also a new lane departure warning and prevention system for Limited and SHO models. The system gives audible and visual alerts if the car drifts over visible lane markings and can use the electrically assisted power steering to help the car stay in its lane.

Exterior
The Taurus Comes equipped with standard 17-inc wheels with 18-, 19- or 20-inch wheels optional. Sleek body-colored door handles, front and rear bumpers and aggressive chrome grille accents and chrome-tipped exhaust. A power moonroof is also optional.

Interior
The 2014 Ford Taurus comes equipped with comfortable seating for up to five with front bucket seats and a three-person rear bench. Seats up to five with front bucket seats and a three-person rear bench, power driver’s seat featuring a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, cruise control,  and CD stereo. Additional options include leather seats, power-adjustable pedals, heated and cooled front seats, with heated rear seats and power rear sunshade. The MyFord Touch and Sync Multimedia system is also available.

Under the Hood

The Taurus is powered by a 288-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine, with an eco-friendly 240-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine available standard with a 6 speed automatic transmission. The Taurus is also capable of towing 1,000 pounds, when properly equipped.

Safety Features
Side-impact airbags for the front seats and side-curtain airbags come standard along with antilock brakes and electronic stability system. Additional safety options include rear parking sensors, blind spot warning system and collision warning system, and lane departure warning and prevention.
