Knife-edge styling, a choice of drivetrains, and innovative new technology options are the highlights of the 2008 Ford Fusion. Slotted between the redesigned Focus and the resurrected Taurus, the Fusion is a well-rounded four-door, five-passenger midsize sedan.

Available in three trim levels – S, SE, and SEL – the Fusion features a choice of economical, yet powerful engines. The standard 2.3 liter 4-cylinder makes 160 horsepower, which supplies adequate acceleration with a crisp 5-speed manual transmission or optional smooth-shifting 5-speed automatic. The optional 3.0 liter V6 provides a robust 221 horsepower mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, which motivates the car with aplomb.
