Bringing a fresh new exterior and redesigned interior to the party, the 2008 Ford Focus flaunts edgy, modern styling that sets it apart from the competition. This year also brings the debut of a new coupe model, in addition to the top-selling sedan. It’s also loaded with unique technology features and amenities that set it apart from the competition.

Both the coupe and sedan are available in three trim levels – the base model S, the midlevel SE, and the loaded SES. Providing the motivation is a choice of two 2.0 liter Duratec inline 4-cylinder engines making 140 horsepower, providing entertaining acceleration. The Duratec 20E engine qualifies the Focus as Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle, which is cleaner than some hybrid cars. A crisp-shifting 5-speed manual transmission is standard, while the optional 4-speed automatic transmission makes commuting a snap.

The new independent suspension was redesigned to further improve overall driving dynamics, increase maneuverability, and tighten up road feel. Four-wheel disc brakes with ABS are standard on the SEL (optional on S and SE), helping to reduce wheel lockup during hard braking. Dual front airbags are standard, along with the Safety Canopy™ side air curtain system that deploys in certain side impact collisions or if an impending rollover is detected.

The big technology highlight is the new Sync™ integrated mobility system, designed by Microsoft®. Incorporating hands-free calling, text-to-voice capabilities, voice-activated music control, and compatibility with an iPod®, USB drive, or MP3 player, the system revolutionizes integrated entertainment and communications. With the optional Audiophile Sound System, you’ll hear sweet tunes through an AM/FM 6-disc in-dash/MP3-capable player. SIRIUS^® Satellite Radio is available as a factory-installed option with six months of complimentary service.
