Ford F-250 vs. GMC Sierra 2500HD Review

Performance
With that kind of horsepower, both the Ford F-250 Super Duty and the GMC are true sportscars. The F-250 Super Duty is likely to feel a little slow because of its high horsepower-to-weight ratio compared to the Sierra 2500HD.

Handling
The Ford F-250 Super Duty and the GMC Sierra 2500HD have approximately similar tires. With its tighter turning circle, the GMC Sierra 2500HD is definitely sprier than the Ford F-250 Super Duty, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the other hand, keep in mind that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Ford F-250 Super Duty's engine is slightly smaller than the GMC's, but not terribly so. The Ford F-250 Super Duty has no lessons to learn when it comes to pickup from the GMC Sierra 2500HD. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the GMC isn't much more powerful than the Ford F-250 Super Duty.

Utility
Drivers with frequent child-duty might favor the Ford F-250 Super Duty over the GMC Sierra 2500HD. The GMC Sierra 2500HD is a better choice than the Ford F-250 Super Duty when it comes to hauling capacity, especially if you frequently need to carry a lot of equipment or large animals.

Comfort
The ampler interior dimensions of the Ford F-250 Super Duty make it quite a bit roomier for your passengers than the GMC Sierra 2500HD.

Dimensions
The Ford F-250 Super Duty is slightly heavier than the GMC Sierra 2500HD. The Sierra 2500HD's tank is approximately the same size as the Ford F-250 Super Duty's, though the Ford's is a bit larger. The GMC Sierra 2500HD and the Ford F-250 Super Duty compete for the same parking spaces. The GMC's shorter wheelbase will likely give a nimbler feel in daily traffic. On the flip side, the Ford F-250 Super Duty is likely to have a smoother, more stable ride.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Ford F-250 Super Duty to the dealership as the GMC Sierra 2500HD. The F-250 Super Duty isn't much less costly than the Sierra 2500HD regarding MSRP.

Overview
The GMC Sierra 2500HD and the Ford F-250 Super Duty have the same basic warranty.
