2009 Ford F-450 Overview
Combining a playful combination of strength and utility, the 2009 Ford F-450 is one of the most durable full-size pick-ups on today’s market. With a tough sport look on the outside and just the right touch of luxury and comfort within, drivers will truly feel like they own the road.

The F-450 takes great pride in its ability to respond to a driver's need for power at any time. With options of a 325-horsepower, 6.4-liter V-8 engine underneath the hood or a 350-horsepower, 6.4-liter V-8, all Power Stroke diesel powertrains offer iron block and aluminum cylinder heads, single overhead camshaft and four valves per cylinder. Paired with a standard six-speed manual transmission, buyers can also choose an optional five-speed automatic.

With able competition from the Nissan Titan, Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD and Dodge Ram 3500, the F-450 presents an even wider range of theme packages this year. The Harley-Davidson style comes with a blue-flame paint scheme over interior gauges and custom perforated black leather with blue showing through covers on the seats, door panels and center console. The Cabela’s FX4 package exhibits a unique two-tone paint scheme in five available colors. Inside, cloth seats include Cabela’s logo, while Aniline leather seats are available with a two-tone embossed grain pattern. The center control stack is topped with a dark Paldeo wood application and all-weather floor mats include the Cabela’s logo.

Payload and tow ratings are some of the best you’ll find, with up to 6,190 and 24,600 pounds of capacity, respectively. Fuel tank size is also very expansive, maxing out at an impressive 38 gallons.

The F-450 arrives in regular cab, SuperCab or crew cab body styles to personalize one’s unique sense of driving style. Helpful technology accents like Ford Work Solutions assist businesses to keep track of tools and projects. The hands-free, voice-activated Sync system, developed in conjunction with Microsoft, increases utility for phone and music players; as well as voice-activated travel navigation with Sirius Travel Link.

Ford takes great diligence and attention to ensure the highest levels of driver and passenger safety in the F-450. Antilock brakes, four-wheel disc brakes and front airbags are standard. Other available features to select include traction control, top-tether anchors for child-safety seats, a rearview camera system and an SOS post-crash alert system.

Whatever your payload or cargo needs, the 2009 Ford F-450 will surely be standing at the end of any job, ready and willing for more action.
