2009 Ford F-350 Overview
The 2009 Ford-350 is a super duty full-sized truck that comes in endless combinations of engines, cab designs and trim levels. No matter what package you choose, you cannot go wrong with one of the most powerful and durable trucks on the road.
When choosing the right permutation of options for your family, first choose a cab style. The F-350 is available in a regular cab, extended cab or crew cab. Next choose a trim level right for you. The XL trim level has all the basic power and options appreciated in a Ford truck. Level up to the XLT or FX4 trims. For the most luxurious and stylish trim level, choose the Lariat trim. Its luxury standard perks include steering wheel audio controls, delay off headlamps and Bluetooth compatibility.
After choosing your style and design, choose one of three engines that fits your hauling needs. The standard 5.4-liter Triton V-8 engine creates 300-horsepower. For a bit more power, choose the Triton V-8 which can create 362-horsepower. And for those looking for the most powerful engine with the greatest towing capacity, check out the twin-turbo 6.4-liter V-8 Powerstroke diesel engine. This top-of-the-line engine has 650-pounds of torque. If outfitted with the most towing options, this truck can tow up to 15,000 pounds with a payload of 5,720 pounds. Furthermore, every trim/engine combination comes in 4x2 or 4x4 and a six-speed manual transmission standard. Get the TorqShift five-speed automatic transmission for just a bit more. This comes with Tow/Haul mode.
Safety options also abound in the Ford F-350. Driver and front passengers have their own airbags. Passengers also have front impact airbags that are cancelable. Each truck comes with ABS brakes as well as a significant security system.
