2009 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Overview
As the four-door version of the best-selling pickup truck in America, the freshly redesigned 2009 Ford F-150 SuperCrew is the standard by which all other full-size pickup trucks are judged.
One of the great things about the redesigned F-150 SuperCrew is that there are seven trim levels, including the workhorse XL, youth-oriented STX, mainstream XLT, off-road FX4, luxurious Lariat, robust King Ranch, and top-of-the-line, all-new Platinum model. As for power, the SuperCrew receives an upgrade in the form of an all-new 4.6-liter, 248-horsepower V-8 standard engine that is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. A 4.6-liter, 3-valve, 292-horsepower V-8 and a 5.4-liter, 310-horsepower V-8 (E85 ready) are both mated to six-speed automatic transmissions.
The F-150’s new squared-off nose, giant grille and domed hood are a departure from F-150’s of the past. The SuperCrew features four doors and is six inches longer in wheelbase and overall length. Get up to 57.6 cubic feet of enclosed cargo space with the rear seat folded. Even with the seat folded down, there is more than enough seating room for rear passengers. With a best-in-class payload rating up to 3,030 pounds and best-in-class towing capacity up to 11,300 pounds, the F-150 is a serious workhorse that can handle the toughest jobs. Electronic shift-on-the-fly four-wheel drive is available, allowing you to seamlessly shift into 4x4 mode when needed. When it comes to hauling your toys, Trailer Sway Control, AdvanceTrac system and Roll Stability Control ensure a smooth and balanced ride.
Inside the cabin, an optional power moonroof lets the sunshine in. An optional AM/FM stereo with in-dash 6-disc CD changer, MP3 capability, and SIRUS® satellite radio provides a major upgrade from the standard audio unit. The available voice-activated Navigation System provides detailed freeway exit, turn and ramp transition lane guidance and street name announcement.
Front and side curtain airbags, antilock brakes and an electronic stability system with traction control are standard. In certain collisions, the standard Personal Safety System uses the electronic crash-sensor, a restraint-control module as well as other safety systems to lessen any damage done. The rear view camera and high-strength safety cage add to your safety.
With so many trims, safety features, innovative gadgetry; a redesigned interior and exterior; new, more powerful engine and best-in-class towing capacity, and payload
