Ford Expedition vs. Lincoln MKX Review

Utility
The Ford Expedition will most definitely prove more practical than the Lincoln for those of you with frequent kid-cargo. The Expedition is a better choice than the Lincoln MKX when it comes to transporting cargo, especially if you often need to carry a lot of loot or sizeable animals. Towing is significantly more the Ford Expedition's forte than it is the Lincoln MKX's.

Dimensions
The Ford is substantially more bulky than the Lincoln MKX. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Ford Expedition than the Lincoln MKX because of its bigger tank. The MKX and the Ford Expedition compete for the same parking spaces. The Lincoln MKX's shorter wheelbase will likely give a more agile feel in daily traffic. On the flip side, the Ford Expedition is likely to have a smoother, more stable ride.

Convenience
You likely won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Lincoln MKX than with the Ford Expedition, because both offer similar mileage ranges.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the Lincoln MKX to the dealership as the Ford Expedition. The Lincoln MKX will save you money at the pump compared to the Ford Expedition. The Ford Expedition uses a lot of gas compared to the Lincoln MKX. The Ford Expedition isn't much costlier than the Lincoln when it comes to MSRP.

Handling
With their similar turning radii, the Lincoln MKX and the Expedition likely handle approximately the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Lincoln's engine is tremendously smaller than the Ford Expedition's. Note that a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder; however, smaller engines are often cheaper to fix. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Ford Expedition is substantially more powerful than the Lincoln MKX.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Lincoln MKX offers a bit more head room than the Ford Expedition, there really isn't much of a difference.

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the Ford Expedition isn't quite as generous as the Lincoln MKX's.
