Ford Edge vs. Mazda CX-7 Review

Drivetrain
The Ford has a more massive engine than the Mazda CX-7. Note that smaller engines are often cheaper to fix, but a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder. Torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly, and in this respect, the Mazda CX-7 isn't much more powerful than the Ford Edge.

Utility
The Ford's bigger trunk will accommodate more large objects than the Mazda CX-7. Neither the Ford Edge nor the Mazda CX-7 has a marked advantage as far as seating capacity. The Ford Edge outpulls the Mazda CX-7 by a big margin.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Ford Edge offers a bit more head room than the CX-7, there really isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Ford Edge offers a bit more head- and leg-room than the Mazda CX-7, there honestly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The CX-7's tank is about the same size as the Ford Edge's, though the Ford Edge's is a bit more capacious. The Mazda CX-7 and the Ford Edge compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Mazda is considerably cheaper to get to the dealership than the Ford Edge. As far as MSRP, the Mazda CX-7 doesn't cost much less than the Ford Edge.
