Drivers with frequent kid-duty might favor the Honda over the Ford. The Honda is likely a better choice than the Ford when it comes to transporting cargo, especially if you often need to carry a lot of equipment or large dogs. The Honda Pilot outpulls the Edge by a big margin.

Dimensions
The Ford Edge's tank is about the same size as the Honda Pilot's, though the Honda's is a tad bigger. The Ford Edge and the Honda Pilot compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
You'll likely take the Ford Edge for a fill-up approximately as often as the Honda Pilot.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs almost the same to get the Honda Pilot to the dealership as the Ford Edge. There frankly isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Ford Edge is a little more economical than the Honda Pilot. The Ford won't save you much money at the pump compared to the Honda Pilot. With respect to MSRP, the Honda Pilot costs approximately as much as the Ford Edge (though the Ford Edge is a bit cheaper).

With their comparable turning radii, the Ford and the Honda most certainly handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

The Honda Pilot and the Ford Edge have similar-sized engines, with a slight advantage to the Ford Edge. The Edge has no lessons to learn regarding pickup from the Honda Pilot.
