Dodge Viper vs. Subaru Impreza WRX STi Review

The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Subaru Impreza WRX STi is substantially cheaper to get to the dealership than the Dodge. With respect to gas mileage, the Subaru Impreza WRX STi has the Dodge Viper beat. There really isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Subaru Impreza WRX STi is a tad more economical than the Dodge Viper. In terms of MSRP, the Dodge costs tremendously more than the Subaru Impreza WRX STi.

Utility
Drivers with frequent kid-duty might favor the Subaru Impreza WRX STi over the Dodge.

Convenience
The Viper's fuel tank will need to be replenished more often than the unit in the Subaru Impreza WRX STi.

Comfort
Taller drivers will substantially enjoy the extra head room in the Subaru's front cabin compared to the Dodge Viper.

Dimensions
The Dodge Viper's tank is roughly the same size as the Impreza WRX STi's, though the Subaru Impreza WRX STi's is a tad larger. The Subaru Impreza WRX STi and the Dodge Viper compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
With that kind of horsepower, both the Dodge and the Subaru Impreza WRX STi are true speedsters. In terms of horsepower, the Dodge Viper packs quite a wallop and will knock the Subaru Impreza WRX STi down a few rungs. However, bear in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With its tighter turning circle, the Subaru Impreza WRX STi is quite certainly sprier than the Dodge Viper, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; however, remember that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Dodge Viper's engine is tremendously more massive than the Subaru's. Note that more sizeable engines may use more gasoline than smaller ones. The Subaru Impreza WRX STi could learn a lesson or two from the Viper as far as torque. Torque equals pickup, and the Viper will have picked up and gone by the time the Impreza WRX STi finally gets moving.
