Dodge Viper vs. Audi S5 Review

Drivers with frequent kid-duty might favor the Audi over the Dodge Viper.

Performance
With that kind of horsepower, both the Dodge Viper and the Audi S5 are genuine sportscars.

Dimensions
The Dodge's tank is approximately the same size as the Audi S5's, though the Audi S5's is somewhat larger. The Dodge and the S5 compete for the same parking spaces. The Audi S5's longer wheelbase will likely result in a smoother, more stable ride; on the flip side, the Dodge Viper may give a more agile feel in daily traffic.

Convenience
The Dodge Viper's fuel tank will need to be replenished slightly more often than the unit in the Audi S5.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs approximately the same to get the Audi S5 to the dealership as the Viper. The Dodge Viper won't tax your gas budget significantly more than the Audi S5 will. As far as fuel economy, the Viper is a bit better than the S5, but not by much. The Audi S5 is tremendously less pricey than the Dodge Viper with respect to MSRP.

Handling
With their comparable turning circles, the Audi and the Dodge most definitely handle approximately the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Viper has a larger engine than the S5. Keep in mind that smaller engines typically get better gas mileage, but a smaller engine usually has to work a little harder. Torque equals pickup, and the Viper will have picked up and gone by the time the Audi S5 finally gets moving. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Viper is tremendously more powerful than the Audi S5.

Comfort
Taller drivers will substantially enjoy the extra head room in the Audi S5's front cabin compared to the Dodge Viper.

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the Dodge isn't quite as generous as the Audi S5's.
