New 2009 Dodge Sprinter Van 3500

Available in two body styles – the flexible Cargo Van and the workhorse Chassis Cab, the Sprinter 3500 can handle a variety of tasks with ease. It can be configured in a variety of ways, with multiple roof heights, vehicle lengths, wheelbases, and weight ratings. The Sprinter 3500 will no longer carry a gasoline engine and will feature a standard 3.0-liter, 154-horsepower turbodiesel V-6 engine with abundant low-end torque for powerful pickup and clean, quiet performance. The standard five-speed automatic transmission with AutoStick® offers excellent gear changes and smooth operation. With rear-wheel drive and power-assisted steering standard, it handles comfortably and confidently.  The Sprinter competes with the Chevrolet Express, Ford E-Series Wagon and GMC Savana.

An electronic sliding door is available on Cargo vans to ease loading and unloading. The panoramic windshield features an optional heating system and optional light/rain sensor that continuously varies the wiper speed based on rain intensity and vehicle illumination. High-Intensity Discharge Xenon headlamps with an optional headlamp washer offer enhanced visibility and clarity, and feature corner lighting that automatically activates when negotiating tight corners. Innovative storage solutions include an air-conditioned glove compartment to keep drinks cold. Central locking and remote keyless entry is standard on all models, offering remote access with an engine immobilizer to help protect against theft.

Safety features include standard dual front airbags, an available driver’s thorax airbag, and optional supplemental side airbags to reduce the risk of injuries in a collision. The adaptive Electronic Stability Program offers excellent control under a variety of load conditions. A standard Anti-lock braking system with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution decreases stopping distances and prevent wheel lockup under hard braking, while available Acceleration Slip Regulation helps prevent skidding when the brakes are stomped hard.
