With their comparable turning radii, the Cadillac and the Dodge Ram 2500 most definitely handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Cadillac Escalade EXT's engine isn't much more sizeable than the Dodge Ram 2500's. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Cadillac Escalade EXT isn't much more powerful than the Dodge Ram 2500.

Utility
The Ram 2500 is a better choice than the Cadillac Escalade EXT as far as hauling capacity, especially if you often need to carry a lot of stuff or big pets. Drivers with frequent child-duty might favor the Dodge Ram 2500 over the Cadillac. The Dodge Ram 2500 outpulls the Escalade EXT by a massive margin.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Cadillac Escalade EXT offers a bit more head room than the Dodge Ram 2500, there honestly isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Dodge Ram 2500 offers a bit more head- and leg-room than the Escalade EXT, there really isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The Cadillac Escalade EXT's tank is approximately the same size as the Dodge Ram 2500's, though the Dodge's is somewhat larger. The Cadillac Escalade EXT and the Dodge compete for the same parking spaces. The Cadillac Escalade EXT's shorter wheelbase will likely give a more maneuverable feel in daily traffic. However, the Dodge is likely to have a smoother, more stable ride.

Cost
Regarding MSRP, the Dodge Ram 2500 costs tremendously less than the Cadillac Escalade EXT.

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the Dodge Ram 2500 isn't quite as generous as the Cadillac Escalade EXT's.
