Dodge Ram 1500 vs. Mitsubishi Raider Review

Performance
With that kind of horsepower, the Dodge Ram 1500 is a true speedster. With respect to horsepower, the Dodge Ram 1500 packs quite a punch and will knock the Raider down a few rungs. On the flip side, keep in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With its tighter turning radius, the Ram 1500 is most certainly nimbler than the Raider, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the flip side, note that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Utility
The Dodge Ram 1500's bigger trunk will accommodate more big things than the Mitsubishi. Neither the Dodge Ram 1500 nor the Mitsubishi Raider has a marked advantage with respect to seating capacity. There's no clear winner between the Dodge Ram 1500 and the Mitsubishi Raider as far as hauling capacity. The Dodge outpulls the Mitsubishi Raider by a big margin.

Convenience
You'll most certainly have to take the Mitsubishi for a fill-up more often than the Dodge Ram 1500 because of its tank size and gas mileage.

Comfort
Taller drivers will substantially enjoy the extra head room in the Dodge Ram 1500's front cabin compared to the Mitsubishi Raider. The Dodge Ram 1500 offers more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Mitsubishi Raider does.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Dodge Ram 1500 than the Mitsubishi Raider because of its bigger tank. The Dodge Ram 1500 and the Mitsubishi Raider compete for the same parking spaces. The Raider's longer wheelbase will likely result in a smoother, more stable ride; however, the Dodge Ram 1500 may give a nimbler feel in daily traffic.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Mitsubishi Raider is significantly cheaper to get to the dealership than the Dodge. Regarding fuel economy, the Raider is somewhat better than the Dodge Ram 1500, but not by much. Producing a precise fuel economy evaluation is so difficult that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though both the Raider and the Raider perform about similarly with respect to fuel economy. The Raider isn't much less pricey than the Dodge Ram 1500 when it comes to MSRP.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the Dodge isn't quite as generous as the Mitsubishi Raider's.
