2009 Dodge Ram 3500 Overview
The mighty 2009 Dodge Ram 3500 is one of the world’s most capable pickup trucks. Available in a variety of configurations, the Ram 3500 combines abundant power with ample amounts of towing strength.
Available in Regular Cab, four-dour Quad Cab®, and extended-length Mega Cab® configurations, the Ram is available in four different trim levels to suit your needs. The 6.7-liter Cummins® turbocharged diesel V-8 generates ample acceleration with 350 horsepower, but truly impresses with a mammoth 650 lb pounds-feet of torque, which provides a maximum towing capacity of 17,500 pounds. when properly equipped. It’s more than capable of handling the biggest towing duties. A six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission is available, providing strength, stamina, and reliability.
Depending on your needs, the Ram can be ordered in two cargo box lengths – an 8-foot long box or standard, shorter 6 foot 4-inch box. A manual shift transfer case or available electric shift allows you to lock both drive shafts for extra grip and pulling power when things get tough.
Inside, flexible front seats split in 40/20/40 configurations for flexible hauling and seating options. Mega Cab® models offer low-back, leather-trimmed front bucket seats for comfort and support. The Ram 3500 boasts the incredibly versatile UConnect® system that can fulfill your digital dreams through a 6.5-inch touch screen. Turn your car into a Wi-Fi hotspot and connect laptops, phones, PSPs, PDAs and play online games, surf the internet and download music. The 30 GB hard drive lets you upload and store up to 6,700 songs, tons of photos and play your iPod/MP3 player through the sound system. Include Sirius Satellite Radio, turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth connectivity and you’ve just turned your car into the ultimate entertainment center. With a 7” color LCD screen, remote control, and two wireless headsets, the optional rear-seat DVD Video Entertainment system will keep your crew entertained.
